Top 17 travel blogs to follow in 2017

I always love to travel, explore new areas and make new friends.

As many of you already know I am not the only one with the travel passion. Every time I decide to visit a new place I search for a blog post with information that fits the most with my artsy travel lifestyle.

In this blog post, I have compiled some of my favorite blogs you should definitely follow in 2017.

I also asked these experienced travelers what is their favorite art destination to get inspired, so enjoy following their footsteps from a comfort of your home or start creating your 2017 travel bucket list.

P.S.: Doodle art on the screenshots is my adjustment so the blog post is artistically more consistent.

A favorite destination for art and colorful inspiration:

Santorini! Even though a lot of people already know this place and it can be a bit too touristy, it has a reason. As Johnny says “Sometimes cliches just nail and Santorini is one of the most beautiful places in the world, drowned in blue and white paint and sunshine! Love the place and sunset at Oia are out of this world! ”

About:

Sabina travels around the world taking amazing professional pictures (which I love – I am a huge Instagram Fan). What is more, she always looks great in her outfits. It is a marvelous inspiration on how to look good while traveling. Learn about her popular posts on Instagram and on her girly and funky blog here.

A favorite destination for art and colorful inspiration:

Miami! As I am planning to go here in February I can’t wait to experience the colors on my own. As Sabina says: ” My favorite destination, artistically speaking, would be Miami. I first visited last summer and – to my great surprise – completely fell in love with the city aesthetics. It’s Art Deco architecture is a perfect blend of kitsch and style. ”

Many of us – I included – are usually on a lookout for perfect Instagram spots. Sabina loved colorful walls all around: “Those pastel facades of South Beach are a daydream. There’s also Miami’s grittier side in the form of the Wynwood Art District, filled with street art and graffiti. What’s not to love? ”

3.To Europe and Beyond

About:

With many locations on the bucket list, Marie is bringing great insight to locations where she already has been. As many travelers, she swapped her 9 to 5 job for full time traveling. Her blog is beautifully designed and neatly organized, so it is super easy to find what you might be looking for. She enjoys traveling maybe as much as drinking Latte’s everywhere she goes. There is also count of the soy lattes she tried while traveling.

I can totally identify myself with her coffee addiction. I can’t go through the day without a morning coffee hahaha. I had looked at her post about Oslo before visiting Norway and it was a great inspiration on what to do there with my friends.

A favorite destination for art and colorful inspiration:

Montreal! As Marie describes: “My favorite destinations for arts is my hometown Montreal because there are so many artists here and the city has, consequently, strong art vibes that make it very effervescent. The tree-lined streets of Plateau Mont-Royal, with the wrought iron staircases and colorful facades, are the perfect backdrop for a creative journey.”

You don’t need to be extra rich to travel a lot.  I read through many of her travel stories, for example how she met her boyfriend in India or that if she can be a mix of two people it would be Liz Lemon (30 Rock) and Monica Geller (Friends).

A favorite destination for art and colorful inspiration:

As Rachel says: ” My favorite destination for color and art was hands down Morocco, which has fantastic architecture and more specifically Chefchouen, an all blue town. It’s something you have probably seen on Pinterest and it inspired me so much I came home and painted all my patio furniture the same blue!”
